Everyone wants to restore a proven safe climate for our children— one that humans have actually survived long-term. Nature has done it and we will do it too when we commit to it.

The Climate Restoration Fund funds the critical Climate Restoration programs that will restore a historically safe climate for our children by 2050.

Climate Restoration Local & Regional Projects

While our main focus is to restore atmospheric CO2 to safe levels and restore the climate, it is as important to accelerate the implementation of local & regional climate restoration solutions.

Increasing engagement and climate resilience is crucial, especially in frontline communities - we are all in this together.

For this program, we have partnered with The Climate Restoration Network - a global network of for-impact companies and organizations designed to accelerate the deployment of climate restoration solutions - local, regional & global.

GCRF Supports the following Local & Regional Climate Restoration Projects:

1) Sustainable Bamboo Cultivation Project in Togo

Bamboo is known for its rapid growth rate and high carbon sequestration ability, making it an excellent candidate for carbon offset projects. This project will involve the establishment of bamboo plantations in selected areas of Togo, considering factors such as land availability, soil fertility, and water accessibility. The cultivation process will adhere to the best sustainable practices, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

The Grandparents Fund is working with the Climate Restoration Network and local representatives from Togo to develop this project and align it with the objectives of Togo's National Development Plan, furthering the country's economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social development goals.

2) Agriculture Waste Management in Israel

This project aims to solve a national problem that currently has no solution and to remove a severe environmental and health hazard.

The solution includes setting up a distributed network of Agricultural Waste Processing Centers (AWPCs). Each center is equipped with several solutions and technologies such as recycling facilities, biochar production facilities, and waste-to-energy facilities - all managed by digital software designed to maximize the waste value across the entire value chain.

Once successful, this solution will be replicated in other places around the world.
