Climate Restoration by 2050 is Our Mission
The Grandparents Fund for Climate Restoration develops and funds the critical Climate Restoration programs ad projects that will restore a historically safe climate for our children by 2050. The Grandparents Fund for Climate Restoration (GFCR) is acting as the philanthropic fund of the Climate Restoration Ecosystem, developed by the Climate Restoration Alliance (a program of GFCR).
Global Warming
Global warming is heading towards catastrophic levels, with extreme temperatures becoming more frequent and intense. Extreme weather events, floods and droughts, millions of lives lost and billions of dollars in damages have become the new norm.
To mitigate this
To mitigate this, it is critical to restore atmospheric CO2 levels to historically safe levels, below 300 parts per million (ppm), as today’s levels have risen to an alarming 424 ppm. Achieving this would require the removal of approximately one trillion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2050.
